One of our best Rieslings from focused selective harvesting. Immense clarity on the nose: citrus fruits and ripe yellow peach with a wonderful spiciness. Powerful and juicy on the palate, fine, soft fruit and wonderful acidity, long finish. A great harmonious Riesling that infallibly combines intensity with finesse! The south-facing, wind-protected terraces where our vines grow produce wines of exceptional power, fruit, and richness every year. The Geyersberg site was already mentioned in documents around 1500 with the name "ym nesten geierßbuhl". The animals are indeed the namesake here. A long time ago, the mountain was forested, and birds of prey nested there.

Falstaff 2026: "The Geyersberg offers beautiful grape ripeness on the nose with notes of peach, mint, and a little ginger. On the palate it remains bright, finely saline, with a slight grip and almost still a little unapproachable. But certain harmony is in prospect."

Consistent yield reduction and patience until the grapes were fully ripe rewarded us with this absolute dream Riesling.

Nearly endless possibilities. A mellow Thai yellow curry or Indonesian rendang (beef stew with coconut milk and many spices) can be a lot of fun as a more exotic accompaniment. A nice piece of fish like redfish with Mediterranean vegetables or a veal steak with sage in a white wine sauce comes across as a bit more classic.
