Character. Pure.
No Frills.
Limestone defines our origin. Minerality shapes our style. Focused, with clarity and depth.
Our wines are born in distinctive vineyard sites with a rich history, expressing their origin—the soil, not the cellar. Precise, profound and carried by a quiet elegance that lingers long after the last sip.
Bechtheim. Our Heart.
Our Home.
GEYERSBERG – Medium-weight, carbonate-rich loess-loam soils over limestone bedrock. South-facing, sheltered terraces create one of our finest vineyard sites. And it proves it year after year. These wines combine power with restraint. Ripe fruit without excess. Warm yellow fruit aromas and a generous texture, carried by remarkable balance and finesse.
ROSENGARTEN – A higher clay content embedded in sandy loess-loam, with a warm, south-facing exposure. Rosengarten produces wines that do not reveal themselves all at once—and that is precisely their charm. Complex yet finely poised. Generous yet playful. With time, they unfold a quiet opulence that rewards patience.
HASENSPRUNG – West of the village, rooted in heavy clay soils with sandy deposits. Hasensprung is one of our most understated vineyard sites, particularly for Riesling. Here, elegance takes centre stage: delicate fruit, fine precision and a distinctive saline edge. Never a wine that demands attention. Always one that stays with you.
Morstein Westhofen. An icon.
Iconic Terra Fusca. Defined by cool precision and the unmistakable signature of limestone, formed from the ancient coral reefs of the Tertiary Sea. A small vineyard parcel with a remarkable reputation, producing wines of singular character—driven by a striking saline minerality.
Zellertal. Our Vision.
Zeller Weg am Schwarzen Herrgott, Mölsheim.
The Schwarzer Herrgott is among Germany’s oldest vineyard sites. A place where history is etched into limestone—and brought to life in every glass.
Defined by saline minerality, dark aromatics and vibrant acidity, the wines from this remarkable site reveal depth, tension and precision. At elevations between 170 and 275 metres above sea level, they develop a character that is both immediately inviting and built to endure—ready to be enjoyed today, yet destined to age gracefully for decades.
Riesling. Quiet Luxury. Lasting Impression.
Riesling is the variety that expresses the true character of Rheinhessen like no other. Silky in texture, vibrant with mineral freshness, generous in fruit and layered with remarkable depth.
Our Rieslings are not made to impress. They are made to tell a story—of limestone, of living soils and of a place that gives every wine its unmistakable identity.
Burgundian Varieties.
Our Signature.
Our Burgundian varieties never seek the spotlight. They tell a story. Fine-boned, silky and beautifully textured, they go far beyond fruit, revealing the depth and complexity that only time can create.
Our Pinot Blanc is quiet in the glass. Delicate tension. Bright fruit. Cool elegance. A subtle touch of fine-grained tannin lends structure to its mineral core.
Our Pinot Noir and Frühburgunder stand for elegance rather than sheer power. Refined, precise and layered, they reveal their depth with quiet confidence—and leave a lasting impression.
Wines that speak, not shout. Present in every detail. Ready for the grand stage, yet patient enough for a long journey in the bottle.
Maxime Herkunft.
United by Origin.
Origin brings us together. It is not a promise. It is where everything begins.
As a founding member of Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen, we have embraced this belief from the very beginning. Today, the initiative brings together around 100 wineries, all committed to a clear classification based on origin: Estate Wines, Village Wines and Single Vineyard Wines.
Our winery is also home to the first Chairman of Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen. We see this not as a distinction, but as a responsibility—to strengthen a culture where origin takes centre stage, and to craft wines that tell their story where it truly begins: in the vineyard.
